If you're looking for something special, not another cookie-cutter apartment in a depressing building, come visit us at Grace Terrace. The eight apartments in our building definitely deserve the word unique. They are the most exclusive, architecturally attractive apartments, in the most beautiful setting, you'll find in the Southern California area. And we're located in a quiet residential hilltop neighborhood in the prestigious southwest section of the city of Pasadena, just a 10 minute drive to downtown Los Angeles. Grace Terrace Apartments was once a mansion, built in 1891, and converted to eight extraordinarily large one-bedroom apartments in the 1920's. Lovingly restored, updated, and managed by husband and wife team, Dan McGilvray and Lorna Moore, Grace Terrace offers the old world charm and quality of a historic building, but the modern convenience and function of a new building. Rather than the typical
center-hall sort of conversion, each apartment was designed with an exterior
entrance, a much more attractive approach than the typical depressing
hotel-like hallways of most apartment complexes, but one that also provides
for great privacy and maximum light and air. Each apartment is completely
different from the others, but all offer hardwood floors, high ceilings,
fireplaces, crown moulding, entertainment-size balconies, patios, or verandahs,
and much more. Some offer exquisite 1891 vintage details such as hand-painted
ceilings, stained glass windows, coffered ceilings, embossed decorative
plaster work, doors with leaded glass windows, and floor-to-ceiling carved
wordwork. |
